1. INTRODUCTION
South Valley International School successfully organized a comprehensive four-day Parents Orientation Programme from April 21st to April 24th, 2026. Recognizing that the synergy between home and school is the cornerstone of academic excellence, the programme sought to bridge the gap between institutional reforms and parental expectations.
In the wake of transformative changes in the Indian educational landscape, this orientation served as a vital platform to align our stakeholders with the latest pedagogical shifts. The sessions were meticulously designed to introduce parents to the evolving academic frameworks, fostering a sense of shared responsibility and collaborative growth. The atmosphere was one of transparency and mutual commitment, ensuring that every child's journey at South Valley remains holistic and future-ready.

2. OBJECTIVES OF THE ORIENTATION PROGRAMME
The primary objective of the programme was to sensitize parents regarding the institutional transition toward a more modern, flexible, and skill-oriented educational model. Key objectives included:
• NEP 2020 & NCF 2023 Alignment: To demystify the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2023, emphasizing the move from rote memorization to Competency-Based Education (CBE).
• Academic Transparency: To communicate the new assessment structures, multidisciplinary approaches, and the integration of 21st-century skills within the daily curriculum.
• Parental Partnership: To establish a robust communication channel where parents are viewed as active partners in the "Five-Fold Development" (Pancha Kosha) of the learner.
• Holistic Insight: To provide clarity on the school's vision for experiential learning and the socio-emotional well-being of students.
3. DAY-WISE DESCRIPTION OF THE PROGRAMME

4. ROLE OF LEADERSHIP: PRINCIPAL AND DIRECTOR
Address by Principal, Mrs. Poonam Shekhawat:
The Principal spearheaded the sessions by providing a visionary roadmap. She highlighted that the school is a laboratory for character building and engaged in one-to-one interactions regarding academic pressure and digital well-being.
Presence of Director, Mrs. Anjana Madaan:
The Director's presence underscored the commitment to quality, assuring parents of investments in infrastructure and faculty training aligned with global standards.
